People often want to know when the best time to start training their pooch? The
earliest is best, but it's never to late. Training your new,or older best friend is
the strongest bonding the both of you can experience. This creates and
establishes you as the leader in your his mind.  Everyone has heard the term
"you can't teach an old dog new tricks", but this is not true. Dogs, like humans
have the capability and desire to continue to learning. whether it is a new trick,
or a new method of dog obedience.
Just look at those eyes!!  Coco is practicing the
ancient art of Chihuahua mind control!  He is
trying hard to convince us that he will be the
leader of his dog/human pack. Fortunately for us,
his responsible owner understands that dogs are
pack animals. Very few dogs are born leaders,
they prefer to follow our lead, however without
clear signals and healthy discipline, they will try
to assume top dog status.

Why is training and
behaviour so important?
CGC which is Canine Good Citizen is one of the many programs the AKC
offers for all breeds!!  There are  10  social exercises your dog must
complete in order to get this certification.   This is usually required to use
your canine companion in any volunteer or therapy capacity.!!

Location:  Locust point in Baltimore.
CGC  clinics to be held at Camp Bow wow in Columbia Md!
The Canine Good Citizen designation is a certification through the
AKC.(American Kennel Club)  This certification is required by most schools,
hospitals and hospice care facilities to allow your canine companion tovisit or
work!
Puppy Kindergarten/socialization - puppies 4-6 months, must be uptd on shots. 1hour of
play//behavior mod and some training basics.  4 weeks  @ 125.00  7pm Tuesdays

Basic Obedience  -  learn the 5 basic commands sit,down,stay, heel and come.  Six
months and up, must be uptd on shots.  6 weeks @ 150.00  8pm Tues.

Canine Good Citizen - CGC,or Canine Good Citizen is an award given by the AKC and is
usually a requirement for all working and therapy dogs. The class encompasses the Ten
steps it takes to earn this AKC certificate, and at  the end of class, the test itself to receive
this accreditation.  Dogs must have completed a basic Obedience program to enter.
This is an 8 week class @ $175.00 fee includes test. Times and dates depend on class
size.
